The MRCOOL® Universal® Series 60K Air Handler is built to deliver powerful, energy-efficient climate control for large residential spaces. Designed with installation versatility in mind, this air handler supports vertical, horizontal, and downflow configurations. Its compact footprint allows for easier placement in tight mechanical spaces, closets, attics, or basements—giving homeowners and contractors more flexibility during setup. To further simplify installation, the unit is fully compatible with the MRCOOL® NO-VAC® Quick Connect® line set (sold separately). This pre-charged, sealed line set eliminates the need for vacuuming or flaring, saving time, reducing labor, and minimizing the chance of installation error.
For enhanced performance in colder climates, the system also supports optional Universal® Series Heat Kits. These kits provide additional heating output when temperatures drop and serve as an emergency backup source of heat.
Engineered for durability and quiet operation, the 60K Air Handler features an M-shaped evaporator coil that increases the heat exchange surface area, boosts airflow, and helps maintain system efficiency. Constructed from 100% aluminum, the coil is corrosion-resistant, providing long-term reliability and reducing maintenance needs.
